Mary Sams came to RxTrials in 2011 as Regional Site Manager, based in Fort Worth, Texas. In her role as Regional Site Manager, Sams assists in implementing, monitoring and measuring the organization’s quality research and performance practices at the site level. This is incorporated with the RxTrials rapid recruitment techniques that bring about stellar results in reaching and exceeding enrollment goals.
Sams brings more than 20 years of nursing experience in clinical research, hands-on nursing care and health care administration with the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) to her current position. Just prior to joining RxTrials, she was a research manager at Baylor Research Institute in Dallas, Texas, and has held administrative posts in several practice management companies. Her background also includes surgical nurse management and clinical research nurse positions. In addition, Sams has served on the faculty of Harris School of Nursing at Texas Christian University.
A CCRC since 1993, Sams holds a master’s degree in Nursing, Nursing Administration Specialty from UCLA.
